Lunar authority: the only one measured in weeks

No defined centres, so no stable internal mechanism. The reference is outside, and it takes twenty-eight days to come full circle.

No internal mechanism

The Reflector is the only configuration with none of the nine centres defined. So there is nothing stable inside to lean a decision on: no sacral response, no emotional wave, no splenic signal reliable over time.

That absence is not a gap to be filled. It simply calls for a reference of another kind: external and regular.

Why the Moon

The Moon runs through the full cycle of configurations in about twenty-eight days. Over that span, a Reflector passes successively through every possible colouring of their own system.

That is what makes the cycle useful: it is not waiting for the sake of waiting, but seeing the same question under every light before committing.

What stays appealing across the whole cycle is probably right. What only appealed in a passing state was not.

How to use it

For a major decision : a move, a professional commitment, a relationship:

  1. Let a full cycle pass before concluding.
  2. Note how the question evolves week by week, briefly.
  3. Talk it through with several trusted people, at different points in the cycle. Hearing their own thinking out loud is, for this type, a more reliable clarifier than internal reflection.
  4. Decide once the answer stops moving from one phase to the next.

Everyday choices obviously need no such delay.

What it is not

It is not applied astrology. You do not need to follow astronomical phases: what matters is the duration, not the calendar.

It is not indecision. The delay is the mechanism, exactly as the wave is for emotional authority.

It is not a permanent constraint. Only one category of decision is concerned, and those are rare.

Where to start

  1. Confirm the type by calculation. Since the Reflector is defined by the total absence of definition, birth time matters here more than anywhere.
  2. Note your energy and mood daily for 28 days, alongside place and people present.
  3. Push the next major decision out by one cycle and see whether the question looks different at the end of it.

If a description does not speak to you, do not force it. These lenses exist to name what you already recognise.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really need 28 days for every decision?

No, only for major ones: a move, a professional commitment, a relationship. Everyday choices need no such delay, and applying it everywhere would make life unworkable.

What should I do during those 28 days?

Watch how the question evolves, and talk it through with several trusted people at different moments. The point is not to wait passively but to see the same question under every colouring of the cycle.

How do I know where I am in the cycle?

By noting energy and mood daily for one full cycle. The pattern usually appears on the first pass. You do not need to follow astronomical phases to benefit from it.

What if a decision cannot wait a month?

Take whatever delay is available, even a short one, and structure it: two or three different states beat a single one. A major decision that genuinely cannot be deferred is rare, and the urgency is itself information.
