Heart authority: what do I get out of it?

The question that decides things for you is not "is this good?" but "do I want this?". It sounds selfish. It is nevertheless the only reliable criterion you have.

A centre of will

The heart centre is associated with willpower, self-worth and the capacity to keep a commitment. When it carries the authority, decisions are made from that register: not what is reasonable or expected, but what the person actually wants.

It is one of the rarest configurations in the system, which explains how few descriptions exist.

The question that decides

It is simple and disconcerting: “what do I want to get out of this?”

Not “is this good”, nor “should I”. The moral framing produces nothing usable here, it leads to commitments made for good reasons and never kept.

The criterion sounds selfish. In its effects it is not: a commitment backed by genuine wanting holds, a commitment made out of duty falls apart. The people around you benefit from the first, not the second.

Hearing your own will

With the heart centre connected to the Throat in this configuration, will runs through speech. That is what makes the method counter-intuitive:

What changes day to day

On commitments. Check the wanting before saying yes, every time. It is the only adjustment that really counts.

On self-worth. A broken promise costs more here than elsewhere: it hits the very centre that carries the decision.

On rest. The heart is a motor, but one that needs cycles. Pushing on without recovery exhausts the will itself.

Where to start

  1. Confirm the configuration by calculation. It is rare and easily confused with others.
  2. Ask the wanting question out loud before every commitment, for two weeks.
  3. Watch what you keep and what you do not, and check each time whether the wanting was there to begin with.

If a description does not speak to you, do not force it. These lenses exist to name what you already recognise.

Frequently asked questions

Is this not just selfishness?

That is the most common reading, and it misses the mechanism. The heart centre carries willpower: when a commitment is not backed by genuine wanting, it does not get kept. Taking what you actually want seriously produces more reliability for the people around you, not less.

How do I recognise this authority?

It applies to Projectors and Manifestors with a defined heart centre connected to the Throat, and an undefined emotional centre. The configuration is rare; only calculating the chart can confirm it.

How do I hear my own will?

By speaking. Most people with this authority find they discover what they want by saying it out loud, not by thinking about it. Listening to what you hear yourself say is more reliable than silent introspection.

What about promises already made without wanting them?

Keep them where possible, and above all draw the rule from it: stop committing without checking the wanting first. The cost of an unwanted commitment is higher here than for other authorities, because it eats directly into self-worth.
